[drums, percussion] studied drumset with Narada Michael Walden in San Francisco. He recorded two albums with guitarist Gregory James, Madagascar and Alphabet Town (Downbeat ****1/2), played on Indigo Swing's Red Light, and on Patrick O'Hearn's So Flows The Current. He performs regularly with Asheville N.C. based bands Ruby Slippers and Cabo Verde. His southern fusion trio Big Block Dodge is busy on the jam band circuit in the Southeastern U.S. Robin founded Hip Bones in 1993 and his versatile and dynamic drumming is key to the band's many textures and deep grooves.
[saxophones, bamboo flutes, samples] has performed with Ultra World Xtet, Hip Bones, ACT, Pam Tillis, Lou Harrison, Allen Ginsberg, John Cipollina, Hank Ballard, Animal Vegetable Television and China Spirit among others, and has played on many CDs, soundtracks, and commercials, including releases by the Discovery Channel, Warner Bros., Nature Company, Broderbund, Disney Channel, Mattel, and Jason Becker. He has composed music and done sound design for Lily Cai Chinese Dance Company, Fisher-Price, Mattel, Broderbund, Fujitsu, Mickey Hart, Craig Baldwin, Dimensions Dance Theater, ACT, KRON 4, PBS, S.F. Legion of Honor Museum, S.F. and Leap Frog.

[electric bass, loops] grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He graduated with a music performance degree from North Texas State U and moved west, where he's played with Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers, Dan Hicks, Preacher Boy, Lee Press-On & The Nails, and Pandemonaeon, among others. "'Ozzie Andrews was versatile and engaging..." wrote Ann Powers in the NY Times after one show. Dan explores his funk, jazz and dub roots with Hip Bones, creating loops and other sonic treats onstage.

[basses, loops] studied at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte
and Berklee College of Music in Boston . He has performed from coast to coast and played on numerous recordings. He currently teaches Guitar and Bass at the guitar workshop in Charlotte. He plays throughout the Southeast with the instrumental trio Green Light.
